We Are Luther Consulting
Luther Consulting, LLC, was founded in 1998 out of our interest in how web-based technologies could help overcome obstacles to accurate and effective public health data collection, management, and reporting. Public health workers and administrators involved in HIV testing and Partner Services, specifically, were looking for a system that was well-organized, easy-to-use, made sense with their workflow, and for which they could count on knowledgeable and friendly user support. They also needed a system that could ensure they were collecting and reporting all the required data for the funding they received.
We created EvaluationWeb® to address those needs; it is now the solution used in all fifty U.S. states, several major metropolitan areas, and multiple territories to collect and report this data to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Luther Consulting, EvaluationWeb, and Aphirm
We did not stop with the success of EvaluationWeb, though. Based on the growing need for client-centered and name-based data collection, management, and reporting – for HIV as well as other communicable diseases – we developed a solution: the Advanced Public Health Information and Relational Mapping® system, or Aphirm®.
During the more than twenty years that Luther Consulting has been a trusted partner in public health, we have lived by the conviction that public health data management is too important to be left to one-size-fits-all, under-supported, over-complicated, and outdated tools. We believe instead in the power of collaborating with our customers to make sure they are getting an easy-to-use and well-supported system that addresses their challenges and meets their evolving needs. Our goal at Luther Consulting is not just to make software, but to help our customers and their stakeholders make a positive difference in the lives of clients and in support of the common good of public health.
Our Mission
Luther Consulting, LLC, is committed to helping build a better society for present and future generations. Our mission is to develop software used to improve the human condition through public health, social service, and health education interventions. We provide software and services that help our customers prevent the spread of disease, drug use and abuse, and homelessness, as well as promote social justice for youth, the economically disadvantaged, the LGBTQ+ community, and other underrepresented populations.
We develop software to collect program research data to help policymakers and practitioners make well-informed policy and program decisions that will improve health outcomes, increase economic opportunities, and ensure justice for all people. We want to effect positive changes in our society and in our world.
